ready: 23% fully adopted, 50% still educating, 16% to start //
We received 400 responses in just 48 hours to our Google Analytics 4 poll.
We asked you what to do when the standard version (Universal Analytics) sunsets tomorrow, July 1.
How prepared are you and your team to switch to GA4 from Universal Analytics when the time comes?
Despite a lot of frustration
- Nearly a quarter said that they had already implemented GA4 and were using it.
- Over half of respondents said that they have implemented the system but are still learning to use it.
- Nearly 16% of people have set it up, but haven’t used it.
These statistics show that more than 90% our readers are on board the GA4 train – for better or for worse.
- Only 2.6% of respondents indicated that they did not plan to use GA4.
- 4.6% of people have not yet set up their accounts.
Why do we care? This looks at first glance like a vote for Google’s analytics. There are many options to GA4. It’s not as simple as that.
It’s possible, right or wrong, to use a tool that you don’t really like.
“An unfinished item rushed to the market.”
The GA4 software is not ready for the mass market. The UI is horrible.”
“Terrible user interface, terrible reporting.”
Select comments from the poll respondents
We may need to wait to see if GA4 can be made to work for people or if frustrations make other alternatives more appealing.
