osoft launches AI-generated headlines and descriptions for its ads

Microsoft will now use AI to create headlines and descriptions of ad campaigns.

The company has launched this new service along with its new Auto-Generated Assets feature and IF Functions for Responsive Search Ads (RSAs).

Why we care. AI-generated descriptions and headlines are great tools for advertisers, as they can inspire marketers who may be having difficulty with creativity. They also highlight possible improvements to ad copies and save time. The auto-generated assets allows advertisers to easily scale their work and create more relevant ads. All in all, the new features of Microsoft’s ad placement should make it easier for all marketers.

How to use it. Microsoft’s generative AI for ad titles and descriptions can be found in 35 different languages. The language of your site is automatically detected. This feature is available under the tab ‘Create Ads’.

RSA has also improved its ad product. Microsoft announced two new ad products, along with the AI-generated headlines.

What did Microsoft say?

Why now? Google announced in May that AI-generated headlines, descriptions and keywords for campaigns, as well as images, assets, and images, would be available to marketers. Microsoft has to take action in order to ensure that it doesn’t get outperformed.

As Kya Sainsbury Carter, corporate vice-president of Microsoft Advertising told us at SMX Advanced, we can expect to have more conversational AI built into Microsoft Ads.
