osoft launches AI-generated headlines and descriptions for its ads
Microsoft will now use AI to create headlines and descriptions of ad campaigns.
The company has launched this new service along with its new Auto-Generated Assets feature and IF Functions for Responsive Search Ads (RSAs).
Why we care. AI-generated descriptions and headlines are great tools for advertisers, as they can inspire marketers who may be having difficulty with creativity. They also highlight possible improvements to ad copies and save time. The auto-generated assets allows advertisers to easily scale their work and create more relevant ads. All in all, the new features of Microsoft’s ad placement should make it easier for all marketers.
How to use it. Microsoft’s generative AI for ad titles and descriptions can be found in 35 different languages. The language of your site is automatically detected. This feature is available under the tab ‘Create Ads’.
- Enter the URL of the final ad you want to focus on after clicking the “Create Ad” tab.
- You will find another section called ‘Headlines” under the section “Final URL”.
- Here, you will see multiple headline suggestions based on your final URL.
- These recommendations are sorted neatly, will be of high quality and will be more diverse.
- Marketers will have the option to select from multiple options with just one click once the recommendations are made.
RSA has also improved its ad product. Microsoft announced two new ad products, along with the AI-generated headlines.
- Autogenerated assets: The feature was designed in order to reduce the requirement to create separate campaigns and adgroups for different devices or audiences. The tool is being gradually rolled out.
- IF functions:This new feature will be available later this month. It allows you to edit your ad copy by targeting two different targets, device and audience. This feature is expected to reduce scalability problems by eliminating the need for separate campaigns and ad groups based on different devices or audiences.
What did Microsoft say?
- Microsoft Advertising is committed to innovation and has a vision to reimagine the advertising industry with generative artificial (AI). A new development in this area, responsive search ads (RSA), is a very exciting one.
- “Classified as Microsoft Confidential” We’re integrating the power of generative AI in how you create and modify RSA by recommending AI generated headlines and descriptions to you.
- Now, you can customize a responsive search ad with messages that are unique based on a user’s device or a specific audience segment. This helps you to send the right message at the right time.
Why now? Google announced in May that AI-generated headlines, descriptions and keywords for campaigns, as well as images, assets, and images, would be available to marketers. Microsoft has to take action in order to ensure that it doesn’t get outperformed.
As Kya Sainsbury Carter, corporate vice-president of Microsoft Advertising told us at SMX Advanced, we can expect to have more conversational AI built into Microsoft Ads.
