le Chrome now offers trending searches and search suggestions on mobile devices
Google has added four new features related to search in the mobile version Chrome. The company announced that the new features would give you more search suggestions, and show you what’s popular in Google Search.
This page may be the source of search suggestions. After clicking on the Chrome address, the new mobile Chrome will show you a section “Related To This Page” for “eligible sites”. This section shows you search suggestions that are relevant to the webpage.
- You can, for example, see Japanese restaurants and tourist attractions.
Trending Google Searches. In Chrome for Android, you can view trending Google search results directly in the Chrome Address Bar (this feature will be coming to iOS Chrome in the future).
- To see this: Click on a tab, tap the address line and scroll down to view what’s trending. Click on the trending search term to view search results and find out more.
Related Search for Google’s Touch-to-Search for Android. Related searches will be displayed when you tap any word in a web page.
- How to use: Click on a word, phrase or search term and Google will display a list of searches related at the bottom.
Google has added four more search suggestions to the Chrome address bar. Chrome now shows 10 search suggestions instead of six.
The feature was already available for Android users but is now rolling out to iOS Chrome users.
- Google says that the “most relevant suggestions” will be displayed first and that you can scroll down to see more options.
Why do we care? These search tools can be used to find topics related to a particular site or phrase. Take these ideas to your content team and ask them to create useful content that will help you improve your current content pages, or to create new content. These features are also very helpful to many searchers.
