le Analytics 4: 8 new features that enhance the performance of your app
Google Analytics 4 now includes eight new features that improve the measurement of app campaigns and their performance.
Additional AI-powered insights are now available to marketers in order to better understand how users behave on both the web and apps.
Why we care. You can better optimize your campaigns by knowing who your audience is. Brands will see a higher return on investment if they can better connect with their target audience.
What is the new feature? Google spent the past few months developing new GA4 tools that give marketers better audience insights. Eight new features are now available.
- New Unnotified Users Suggested Audience This feature allows brands to reach out more easily to existing app users that may not yet have received push notifications. This tool is particularly useful to improve reach, as only 37% customers allow push notifications.
- Re-use web and app audiences. Once you’ve created an audience, this feature ensures that only the relevant app users are targeted for your campaigns.
- Access GA4 audience builder in Google Ads– In the next few weeks, you will be able create audiences directly within GA4, which will simplify setting up and managing campaigns.
- Additional performance boost This tool optimizes the performance of App campaigns automatically. To get started, you must activate Google signals on your GA4 property.
- Measurement of web-to app conversion – Google’s privacy-safe URL parameter allows for better iOS app conversion measurements when web campaigns deep-link users into apps.
- Integrations With SKAdNetwork– This tool allows you to configure the SKAdNetwork value conversion schema for better in-app measurement and optimization.
- Measurement of conversion on device– GA4 now supports more types consented sign-ins from users, including phone numbers. This solution does not require any information about the user to be sent outside of their device, or disclosed to third parties such as Google.
- Geobased Conversion Lift Measurement This tool is available as a beta and allows marketers to conduct controlled experiments in order to better understand the incremental, causal effects of iOS App campaigns.
What has Google said? Google posted a blog post about its GA4 updates, which stated:
- As an app marketer you want to find and keep your most valuable app users. Google Analytics 4 offers robust tools for audience management to reach the right users. You now have access to the new audience features.”
- Many businesses have seen performance improvements with Google Analytics 4, especially on iOS. Revolut (a United Kingdom-based technology banking company) wanted to scale up its iOS campaigns because it knew its iOS users are some of its most lucrative users. Revolut achieved an 11.2% drop in CPI after implementing and bidding on Google Analytics 4 Events.
- These are only a few new features that app marketers can take advantage of when using Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics 4 offers a complete suite of App campaign performance and measurement features to help you grow your business.
