le Search Console Link Report Fixed //
Google has resolved the problems with the Search Console report of links that we had reported a couple of weeks back. The problem was that the number of reported links dropped dramatically for some website owners.
Resolved. The problem is resolved. The issue has been resolved.
Only a reporting glitch. Google clarified that the link report had no impact on your website’s ranking, indexing or crawling. The problem was with the number Google displayed on the Search Console Link Report.

How it looks. This screenshot shows an increase in Google’s reported number of links compared to my previous report. The number is still low when compared with historical data.

You can go back and see that in August 2018 there were 2.5 million links.
Why we care. This fix didn’t fix any specific issues with ranking. This fix only corrected the link report within Google Search Console. If you track links in this manner, then go back to the report. Hopefully the number of reported links will be more attractive.
