Tagger Media is an influencer marketing platform and social intelligence platform. Sprout Social, a company that provides software for managing social media, acquired Tagger Media for $140 Million.
Sprout Social’s social media analytics and management services will now be able to plan campaigns around influencers.
Tagger Media is a SaaS-based solution that allows brands and agencies to track the ROI of influencer campaigns and create trend reports. It allows brands to analyze the strategies of competitors.
In a press release, Justyn H. Howard, CEO and cofounder of Sprout Social, said, “By bringing Tagger’s influencer marketing into Sprout’s suite of products, we will be able to provide the next generation social insights to customers, to fuel their business strategy, and to measure the ROI of comprehensive social investments.”
Why do we care? The influencer industry is estimated to be worth $21.1 billion. Bringing influencer marketing in the fold will allow many Social Sprout clients to measure the impact of everything social , including social commerce .
