le Search “Mentioned In” Search Snippet shows other websites that a website is mentioned in //

Google has begun testing a “mentioned-in” search snippet. This feature allows the user to expand the snippet and view the other websites that mention this website.

What it looks. Brodie Clark has provided a GIF showing it in action:

Click the arrow down to expand the feature and see a carousel with sites where the search result appears. You can then slide through a list of websites that mention this website.

Google is testing the same thing without the dropdown arrow. It is still open. This is a screenshot of Crystal Carter with the dropdown removed:

Why we care. This feature helps searchers validate and trust the search result by providing more information on reputable websites that mention the website.

This test seems limited and reminds me what Google is trying to achieve with the About this Result feature. I wonder how many people will click the arrow in order to get more information, but Google is testing these features.
