HubSpot released a number of updates in August, including improvements to its AI tools. There are also numerous reports and forecasting enhancements, as well as commerce updates. The beta release of many updates was in preparation for HubSpot’s annual conference.

HubSpot has released many AI features in 2023. August’s releases include not only AI-powered data but also generative AI tools.

Create and edit captions for social media with the AI assistant (beta) now available within social media tools. This feature can be used to summarize information, rephrase sentences, and change the tone.

The AI assistant (beta version) will help you create social media posts more quickly by combining blog content with social post suggestions.

Now mobile users can experience the effectiveness of the AI Content Assistant for Social Media (beta).. This tool is now available for mobile devices, which are used by many social media managers to perform their tasks.

Use the AI conversationsummary to summarize long email threads within the Conversations Inbox with just one click. This feature allows team members to transfer customers to new representatives without having to read each message.

Use AI-powered automatic association (beta), which ties together records for meetings, calls and tickets. This gives teams the information that they need without requiring manual work.

Reporting and forecasting improved features

Just in time for the 2024 planning, new forecasting and reporting features were released. HubSpot’s ability to manage goals, forecasts and pipelines across multiple sales channels will help companies with multiple pipelines achieve greater forecasting accuracy. With the new tracking forecast accuracy, you can forecast more accurately to make better business decision.

Use the new Goals Template Library and the creation wizard to reduce the time required for technical setup. This allows you to focus on the actual goal instead of spending your time configuring it.

The sales report for the beta version of deal funnels has been updated to include options for conversions, skips, and tracking time spent in each deal stage.

The new Sales Velocity Report (beta) provides a better overview of key metrics such as conversion rates, new leads, and time to close.

Two new metrics for reporting sequences can be used to analyze and improve your sales emails in order to close more deals.

Two campaign metrics are being sunsetted. The tab for campaign performance will have a new “Revenue” data section that reports revenue, contacts with revenue, and deals with revenue. Updates on Commerce/Payments

HubSpot invoices will help you to collect more revenue, improve your sales and reduce human error.

Use the new release for companies who start subscriptions by offering a free trial or have sales processes that end before payment is received.

The beta version of the automatic invoice generation for subscription payments will save you time by generating invoices automatically. This feature is particularly useful if you have an accounting software that is integrated with HubSpot, and rely on invoice reporting.

Now that payment links allow for write-in fees, you can accurately charge customers for shipping fees, sales tax or other fees. Although this still requires manual labor, it is less work than creating multiple payment hyperlinks to charge the correct taxes or fees, or manually reconciling them later in your accounting software.

The overhaul of the Sales Hub continues

This new release allows you to customize lead forms to book meetings (beta), instead of the old one-size fits all option. This feature includes conditional redirects that are based on form data. Visitors will receive the most relevant link to the meeting based on their needs. View more common use-cases for this highly anticipated release. This feature may eliminate the requirement for a third party meeting scheduling tool.

HubSpot and Salesforce integration now allows you to keep your Salesforce-focused sales reps on one platform. You can also book HubSpot meeting directly in Salesforce (beta), which expands the capabilities of HubSpot Salesforce embedded released in April.

Service Hub user availability

Automate the assignment of emails and forms to your shared Service Hub Inbox based on their availability (beta). Only team members with a HubSpot availability status will be assigned customer emails and form submissions.

Enhancements to SMS and workflow emails

native mass-SMS tools are now available in the U.S. for customers, including reply management and inbox integration. HubSpot has added SMS functionality to its workflow and campaigns tools (beta).

HubSpot protects reputation of email senders and ensures deliverability. It does this by cancelling emails in workflows beta when they perform poorly and by adding visibility as to why emails are canceled.

Enablement updates

If you’re onboarding or upskilling current team members, you can now curate educational playlists in HubSpot Academy to serve the right content to the right team members at the right time.

HubSpot Academy is a growing library of content, which can be difficult to navigate. Make it easier for your team to know what they should learn next. Also, make it simple to save their playlists and share them with other users (such as your clients) outside your account.

With the new record pane editor, you can customize HubSpot so that it is tailored to the needs of individual teams and users. This will help them gain efficiency by focusing on the information that they use the most.

Use the content tools embedded in HubSpot playbooks to create playbooks that are easier to use and provide your team with the best coaching and real-time insights. These include drag-and drop question reordering and snippets.
