Google has created a help page to document the most commonly used visual elements found on the search results pages. Google has shown 22 elements from the search results page. It explains what they look like and what they are called. You can also optimize your site to include them.

The Visual Elements gallery is available at Google Search . This new document can be found over here in Google’s help area. Google stated that it helps identify the most important and “impactful” visual elements in a search result page. Google also added that the document contains 22 visual elements that are most commonly found on search results pages. These are the categories it is broken down:

Attribution. Searchers can identify the source of a search result by using visual identifiers such as the name of the site, URL and favicon.

Text result. These text results elements are also known as the “10 blue hyperlinks” and/or the “web results”.

Image and video results: These elements are based upon the media that were indexed within the context of the landing pages.

Exploration Features: Also known as “People Also Ask”, the exploration features element can also be called related searches group, or related questions group. These visual elements, according to Google, help users expand their search efforts.

Why we care. This allows us to learn more from Google about the search features available in Google Search. This helps us to understand how we can help sites get rich results and other visual elements. This will help us standardize the names of certain features within the search industry. Google intends to update this document as new features are added.
