What is automatically created assets (Acquired Assets)? Automatically Created Assets (Acquired assets) is a campaign level setting that improves relevance for your Search Ads by creating custom headlines and description based on the context of your ad.
Why we care. ACAs are able to improve ad relevancy by better matching ads with landing pages, but it also means giving up control of the ad. It’s not suitable for industries with high compliance standards or brands that have strict regulations, since you will lose control of the message.
Getting started. You have two choices to begin using assets automatically created:
- This feature can be enabled by selecting the appropriate setting in your campaign settings.
- You can also look for the recommendation “Enable automatically generated assets” on the Recommendations Page and follow the prompts there.
What did Google say? In a press release, a Google spokesperson stated:
- Once enabled, ACAs will improve the Ad strength of your responsive search advertisements and display new assets alongside those you have already provided.
- You can remove any assets that are automatically generated from your ads.
- In the next few months, advertisers in the US and UK with English assets will be able to create more assets using AI. This will help them to better tailor their assets to the search queries of people.
Campaign level. Only opt-in settings at the campaign level will allow for the implementation of generative AI in ACAs. This feature is not available on a per-account basis. You can choose which campaigns will be powered by AI during testing.
A deep dive. Google’s guide for creating responsive search ads will provide you with best practices.
