le will block Bard’s shared conversations from appearing in Google Search
Google is soon to block Bard’s shared conversations in Google Search. Google Bard has recently released shared conversations, which allows users to publicly share their chats with Bard. Google Search began to crawl and index those URLs shortly after.
The problem. Gagan Ghotra posted on X a screenshot showing how a site command for site:bard.google.com/share returned results from Bard. These results were conversations that had been shared. This is a screenshot showing Bard in the Google Search Index:
Google will remove Bard search results. Danny Sullivan is Google’s Search Liaison. I asked him about it and he replied on X that “Bard allows users to share chats if they so choose.” Google Search is not intended to index these chats. “We’re blocking them now from being indexed.”

Why we care. Don’t worry if Bard’s conversations appear in Google Search. They should disappear in the next few days. Google has said that it doesn’t want these conversations to appear in Google Search and is working to block them.
