allows you to create Universal Analytics audiences and personalize your Home page.

GA4, the new Google Analytics product everyone loves, now lets you use the Migrator Google Analytics Google Sheets addon tool to convert many Universal Analytics properties into GA4 properties. To make your home page more relevant, you can personalize it with content. Let’s take another look.

Why we care. These new tools make GA4 more manageable. They allow you to customize your dashboard, properties and settings as closely as possible to UA. Although not perfect, it should bring some familiarity to the process. These familiar features might be of assistance to advertisers who have struggled with GA4 implementation or learning.

This is your signal that GA4 has not been implemented.

Recreate Universal Analytics audiences in Google Analytics 4

Audiences based upon dimensions or metrics that are identical in UA and GA4 may be recreated as is. If audiences have different dimensions or metrics between UA, GA4, it is possible to edit the spreadsheet definitions of the audience to use the appropriate GA4 metrics and dimensions.

The spreadsheet provides information about each audience. If it is, the spreadsheet gives information about why. You can edit the audience conditions to make them more suitable for recreation.

Personalize the dimensions and metrics

The overview and realtime cards now allow you to change metrics. You can now change the metrics by hovering over the metric on the overview card.

You can choose from several dimensions on the realtime card (e.g. Audience, City), or let us choose one for you (i.e. Choose for me).

Restores your options

We’ll allow you to change any metric, dimension or date on a card. We’ll populate a card containing the City when you select the dimension in your next session.

You can also see any changes made to a report when you return to it using the Recently accessed Section. If you have changed the primary dimension, the dimension will be applied when you select the report in the Recently accessed section.

Consider these suggested cards

A new section called “Suggested for You” will be created if you are new to a property or haven’t seen a particular card in a while. This section displays cards that are most popular across all Google Analytics properties. It will help you locate useful information about your property.

Provide feedback

When hovering over a card in the Insights, Suggested For You, Because you View Frequently, or Top Right sections, you can give it a thumbs-up or down. You can give feedback to Google Analytics so that you receive more useful information in the future.
