Deeper: Why connected TV and OTT are important

Why do we care? Samsung and other manufacturers have risen to the top of the data race with their smart TV operating systems. Samsung TV is the brand’s smart TV operating platform.

Roku, an OTT streaming service and smart TV OS has flipped the paradigm with its new line of TVs. Once these TVs are made available, any consumer who purchases one will be able to turn the screen on and access the Roku OS.

At the device level, it is crucial to draw viewers into an connected advertising ecosystem. Roku already has a number of advertising services, including their OneView purchasing platform as well as their clean rooms.
