Apple has redesigned Apple Business Connect, where businesses can update the information Apple Maps displays about their business. In 2014, Apple Maps Connect was launched. It is very similar to Google Business Profiles.

Apple Business Connect. Apple stated that this free tool is available to businesses of any size and allows them to control how their information appears in Apple apps.

Businesses can manage their place cards in Business Connect. This includes adding and updating logos, inviting customers to order food, or make reservations directly from Maps.

Showcases. Apple has also added Showcases to its Apple MAps placecard. This feature allows businesses to offer customers incentives and offers. Apple stated that businesses can update the Showcase section on their place cards through Business Connect. The feature is currently available in the US and will be expanding globally over the next few months.

New APIs. Apple now supports the Business Connect API API. This API is for businesses that have dozens of locations. It allows these businesses to “easily deliver accurate, current information to Maps at scale through listing agencies such as Reputation and Rio SEO, SOCi and Uberall,” Apple stated.

Registration of businesses. Otherwise, businesses can register their business at businessconnect.apple.com and get started today.

Why we care. Apple Maps is growing in popularity, so it makes sense to register your business and keep it updated on the Apple Maps ecosystem. Make sure that your business listing is up-to-date and verified.
