le’s local map pack is missing from search results (now fixed).

Google’s local pack, which is the map results that you often see in search results, seems to have disappeared. This is a bug. However, no one was able trigger the local pack to appear in Google Search for a twenty-minute period.

Examples. You won’t find the local pack if you search for “barber near me”. The standard ten links are all you get, but without the map.

It seems that this stopped working around 11:30 AM ET.

Now, about twenty minutes later, the local pack has returned.

Why we care. Local pack brings a lot of traffic to local businesses. Even if it is only for a brief time, this can cause a significant loss to small local businesses.

This seems to be a bug, and it is now fixed.
