le Ads: New Analytics User Access Management Changes
Google Analytics 4 audience builders will be integrated into Google Ads in the coming months. This will make it easier to create audiences and apply them to Google Ads campaigns.
Google Ads has introduced a cross-product access management system to enable this feature. This model allows a Google Analytics 4 property admin to grant explicit permissions for users in a Google Ads account. Google Analytics admins can assign roles to different permissions in Google Ads. These roles will allow you to access Analytics features embedded into Google Ads. You can also create Analytics audiences directly within Google Ads.
Google Analytics user access levels. Google Analytics provides four levels of user access. Each level can have different permissions. They range from full control to read only access.
- Account Owner The Account Owner is fully responsible for the Google Analytics account. This includes the ability to create views and properties, manage users and link AdWords with other accounts. One Account Owner can be assigned to each Google Analytics account.
- Property user: A Property User has access, which allows them to view and modify data for a particular property. They can view the property, create filters and link AdWords or other accounts. Property Users can manage other Property Users, but they are not able to add or remove any Property Users.
- View User A View User has access only to a particular view in a property. They have access to view and manage the data in that view. This includes creating custom reports, setting goals and creating reports. View users cannot modify filters or create views.
- Analyst: An Analyst has read-only access for a particular view in a property. They can only view the data but cannot alter it.

The best practices for managing user access within Google Analytics.
- Access to sensitive data should be limited: Only allow access to those who are required to have it. This means that you can restrict access to sensitive or personal data such as financial information or user IP addresses.
- Google Groups: To manage your Google Analytics account access, create Google Groups. This allows you to make it easier to control access and ensure the correct users have access.
- Two-factor authentication: To ensure only authorized users have access to your Google Analytics data, enable two-factor authentication.
- Regularly audit user access: Make sure to review user access periodically to make sure that the right level of access is being granted to all users.
