Performance Max is a tool that creates travel ads in multiple formats. These ads will be automatically served across all Google channels and inventory including Maps and Search.
What’s new. Here are the facts:
- Hotels can use Performance Max to help them create ads in multiple formats. They can reach more people through one campaign across YouTube, Display Search, Search, Discover Google Mail and Maps.
- Performance Max will soon include hotel ads in its travel goals section.
- During campaign setup, advertisers select their hotel properties using a map and a hotel picker tool. One campaign can support as many as 100 properties, with different messages, locations and images.
- It allows hotels to track and share campaign performance for each individual location, helping them determine what is working. Advertisers can also see traffic by hotel property in order to understand the demand for different locations.
Multiple formats for ads Performance Max for Travel allows you to create ads in multiple formats to meet your travel goals. These ads will be automatically served on various Google channels and inventory such as Google Maps and Search, YouTube and Hotel Ads (coming in the future).
Users can select their hotel properties using Performance Max’s hotel picker tool during campaign setup. The platform pre-populates hotel ads with creative elements such as copy, images and URLs in all formats. You can edit these assets, or upload your own.
Property-level reporting. Insights pages can help you understand your customers and business performance. Search term insights is one of the features. It displays what your guests are looking for when they see your ad.
Performance Max for travel goals improves this by providing simplified property reporting and travel-specific campaign recommendations. A single campaign can support up to 100 hotels properties. It pre-populates suggested creative assets like images, messages and other visual assets for each property. The hotels tab also measures campaign performance and shares it with other properties.
Early testing. Minor Hotels, an international hotel chain, is headquartered in Bangkok Thailand. It manages over 500 resorts and hotels across six continents. It was time-consuming and complicated to create individual campaigns for each property. They used Performance Max to help them achieve their travel goals and speed up their campaign creation. The platform also provided budget optimization recommendations per property which allowed them to lower their cost per acquisition, increase their return on advertising spend by 76% and increase their bookings 86%.
