ase of Salesforce spring 2023: Part 1 //
With hundreds of new features, the Salesforce Spring’23 Release Notes have been released. It sounds overwhelming, right? This guide contains the highlights and summarizes the 630 pages.
Part 1 covers commerce, content management features, including the new Lighting Web Runtime Template and enhancements to Salesforce Payments & CMS. This release offers a simpler interface which simplifies the platform without compromising performance.
You can also use more AI capabilities to help you and your team work smarter and have better conversations with customers. Salesforce makes it easier to integrate external data sources. Inflows can be simplified to make your business more efficient, which will in turn improve the customer experience.
Lightning Web Runtime (LWR), makes it easy to build websites faster and more cost-effectively.
B2B companies will find the Lightning Web Runtime (LWR), commerce solutions, easier and more cost-effective to create websites. This will improve your business’s performance by reducing run time and providing personalized experiences.
Because the LWR template is for B2B stores, it makes customization easier as larger components are broken down into smaller pieces. The commerce header can now be broken into logos and navigation, search, cart features, and other elements. This allows you to create better-looking websites while still providing the same user-friendly experience that your customers demand.
This framework improves both run speed and performance. LWR checkout is now configurable and faster. Previously checkouts used flows. Salesforce Commerce now offers fully configurable checkouts for B2B businesses that are driven by LWR components.
Salesforce Payments is now easier
Modern ecommerce businesses need to be able to process payments quickly. Salesforce’s new payment framework makes the process easier and requires less backend programming. Instead, configurations that are more simple and user-friendly are more technical.
The new framework also allows you to integrate third-party payment services seamlessly for a more secure and functional checkout. A new click-and go function simplifies checkout for your customer.
Salesforce CMS – Approvals, view and restoration added
Salesforce CMS upgrades improve work processes including:
Approval of content
Consultants and contributors now have the ability to create, edit, and view content within their workspace. Once the content is created, others can approve it and request changes. This allows you to accelerate publication and further operationalize content production.
You can view and restore content by version
Salesforce is now catching up with WordPress. It offers functionality that allows you to view all previous editions, track changes, and revert back to older versions if necessary.
