edIn launches new Pages features to B2B marketers //

LinkedIn today announced new features that will allow B2B marketers to post content on the platform and hold live events.

Scheduled postings. Marketers now have the ability to schedule posts for a specific date and time on their LinkedIn page. This new feature allows users to schedule content directly within LinkedIn, rather than relying on third-party publishing or marketing tools.

You can schedule posts up to three months ahead, and all scheduled posts are viewable and managed within the platform.

Audio-only live conversations. LinkedIn audio events, another feature, allows users host conversations with other people without the need for video. LinkedIn users can RSVP in advance to the event by simply being announced by the host.

Audio Events are informal and have a speaker at the “stage”. Other virtual attendees may raise their hands and be invited to speak, if desired.

LinkedIn already offers a LinkedIn Live product that can be used for video events. However, users will need a third party broadcasting tool in order to use it. Although there are no fees for events products, LinkedIn requires that creators or orgs have at least 150 followers to their Page to be able to host an event.

Automatically posting new jobs on LinkedIn. LinkedIn also offers an opt-in option to automatically post job openings on Pages.

If you choose this option, LinkedIn will post one job per day on your organization’s Page as a pre-scheduled posting.

Follow for Pages. Pages can now be followed by other pages in the same way that LinkedIn users can follow each other.

Why do we care? Social media planning tools have been an integral part of digital marketers at more established organizations. LinkedIn makes it easier to post content and schedule jobs on-platform, even with a smaller budget. B2B marketers have the opportunity to exchange industry views and ideas through Audio Events. They can also use it as a way to connect with other professionals in a casual setting.
