What is it? Reminder Ads are designed to ” Help Advertisers Build Awareness, Anticipation, and Consider for upcoming Moments” Consumers who opt-in will receive three reminders about an upcoming marketing event: A day before, 15 minutes prior, and at the time it occurs. This is the result of a successful partnership with Starz, Meta’s cable network.

Search is now. Instagram is testing ads in search results.
Why we care. Meta is in financial trouble, but Instagram ads could prove counterproductive. The company is under pressure from TikTok and a weak ad marketplace. Instagram still provides marketers with the highest ROI, more than twice as much as TikTok. Nevertheless, TikTok had an average revenue per user of $46.86 last fiscal year, which is seven times higher than Instagram. TikTok users spend on average 89 minutes per day on the site. This is three times as much as Instagram users.
The real danger of oversaturation is also present. Remember MySpace? Remember MySpace? Instagram already offers ads on its Explore page, Explore feeds and Reels pages, Stories, Stories, user profiles, and many other places when you open the app. We should all hope that more ad inventory does not mean fewer ad viewers.
