Twitter will impose a $1,000 monthly fee for verification on organizations, but it will exempt the top 500 advertisers and 10,000 most-followed organisations with prior verification as per an internal document obtained by The Times.
It also states that accounts purchased verification will be reviewed to make sure they are not impersonating anyone.
