le claims that Bard has been updated to improve logic and math calculations //

Google Bard has just received an upgrade. It is now more proficient in math and logic by incorporating Google’s PaLM language models. “Today, I want to share that Bard has improved its capabilities in maths and logic by incorporating some advances we’ve made in PaLM,” Jack Krawczyk (Google executive leading up Bard) said on Twitter.

The difference. Jack Krawczyk, Google’s chief technology officer, stated that Bard is now able to better understand and respond when you ask questions in multi-step word or math problems formats.

Math improvements are coming. Coding will soon be available to Bard, Jack Krawczyk said.

Google PaLM. PaLM is for Pathways Language Model. Google has created a large language model with over 540 billion parameters. To test the effects on model scale, researchers also trained smaller PaLM models (8 and 62 billion parameters), to verify their effectiveness.

More information about Bard. Bard wasn’t available to all users until ten days after Google announced it. Google’s response to Bard was less than that of ChatGPT and Bing Chat. Employees at Google urged the company for Bard to be improved.

Google says more will come, and that it will be better.

In an interview <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/31/podcasts/hard-fork-sundar.html? Sundar Pichai (Google CEO) said that they deliberately launched a lighter version of Bard. It will only get better over time.

Why we care. It is exciting and fun to watch these AI assistants and tools grow and improve in such a short time. This space is great fun, whether you’re following ChatGPT, Bing Chat or Google Bard.

Give Bard another chance and see if it is any better than yesterday.
