YouTube has announced new strategies to attract new audiences by integrating Shorts.

Incorporating shorts to maximize reach. Google AI is being used to combine the most efficient ads in Video reach campaigns. This will increase reach and efficiency.

Video reach campaigns will also include in-feed video ads to improve audience engagement. Paramount+ is one of the first partners to test the new version of Video Reach campaigns.

Advertisers can now upload vertical videos of 60 seconds (or less) along with their other assets. YouTube’s AI campaign tools can also be used to optimize and adapt horizontal creative for vertical screens.

Place ads next to trending Shorts. With YouTube Select, advertisers can place ads in a brand-safe space alongside the most popular shorts on the platform. Now, the same technology will be applied to Shorts to allow brands to reach 1,5 billion monthly Shorts users who are logged in.

YouTube’s Run of Shorts. Ads will appear alongside the most relevant and popular videos on users’ Shorts feeds. This keeps brands in the forefront of the minds of viewers. First Position on Shorts, a pilot program available via YouTube Select, allows advertisers a chance to make an impact in a highly immersive environment by making sure their ad appears first when viewers open YouTube Shorts.

YouTube’s short and long-form content allows for a variety of content including entertainment categories, music genres and video formats. (Live, short, long podcast and music) YouTube’s Shorts and Long-form Videos contribute to viewer engagement, discovery and platform usage.

YouTube can be integrated into campaigns to increase brand awareness. Users will enjoy their favorite videos while brands reach out. YouTube’s tools and products make short-form videos a seamless part of campaigns. This helps brands and organizations maintain relevance with viewers.
