Reddit has launched two new advertising products today: Contextual Keyword targeting and Product Ads. These new features were introduced to help advertisers reach more valuable customers and simplify the Reddit Ads Manager.
Why we care. Advertisers can reach their target audiences more accurately and easily, leading to an increase in conversions.
What’s new? Reddit’s new advertising products allow brands to connect better with consumers who are already researching and have the intention of purchasing. These include:
Contextual keyword targeting. This new feature allows you to reach consumers who are actively participating in Reddit discussions by selecting specific keywords that you would like their brand associated with. For increased relevance, you can also align keywords to creative copy.
Contextual Keyword Targeting is a great way to advertise on Reddit, as the threads are often evergreen.
Product Advertisements. This new format allows you to target customers who are already on their shopping journey. The ad will include information like product descriptions and prices (in local currencies).
Call-to-action buttons will be included in Product Ads, which will direct users to the product pages of a brand. You can also create ads quickly and easily from existing catalogs without needing additional resources.
You can also import catalogs from other platforms if you’re running campaigns simultaneously on Reddit.
