pot May 2023 releases – The manager’s Guide

HubSpot has released a number of new features in May, including a prospecting workspace and playlists for coaching. There is also an AI assistant for social media content, content approvals, and countless releases related to goals.

Managers should be aware of the following updates:

Prospecting SDR/BDR workspace (beta)

HubSpot now makes it easier for sales teams to manage and create prospecting opportunities. The workspace consolidates prospecting experiences, such as daily tasks, progress on tasks, sequences that are in progress, today’s calendar, and suggested activities.

This release is an addition to the release from last month. It allows users to book meetings in behalf of others, for example sales or business development reps (SDRs/BDRs), who book meetings on account executives’ (AEs) behalf. Prior to this release, teams were forced to use point solutions to manage high volumes of prospecting activities. Coaching playlists (beta).

You can create a playlist for your team to train them on specific topics. This feature is highly requested and allows you to coach your team at scale in order to help them close more business. Watch this video to learn how it works.

AI Content Assistant for Social Media (Beta)

HubSpot’s content assistant beta for social media can help your team produce social media content faster. This tool is based on the same technology used by ChatGPT to create or edit content in HubSpot. It will be particularly useful for teams with recently reduced staff.

Content approval for landing pages, blog posts and website pages

Save time and reduce errors by bringing your content approval process into HubSpot, using the new content approvals for website pages, landing pages and blog posts. HubSpot released many approval features over the last year, including approvals for marketing emails. Centralizing approvals prevents bottlenecks and tracks changes, allowing users to trust that they are reviewing the latest version. Watch the video to learn more about this release.

Playbooks for custom object records

Use the new release of HubSpot to enable your team to follow process guidelines and input information in a standard way into your custom object record. You can also use the custom object properties within playbooks.

Budget and expenditure items for each campaign can be tracked.

Now you can track the individual budgets and expenditures of campaigns in one tab. This tab lets you see the budget and spending information in individual line items, as well as the total budget per campaign. It also shows the remaining budget based on the current amount spent. Multiple measures can be created from a single custom report

The Custom Report Builder now allows you to compare related metrics on one report. This comparison could not be done in one report before, and each metric was studied separately, except for a combo chart.

New object page for Marketing Events (beta).

The new marketing event object page allows you to manage your event activities, view performance reports and find all the information about your marketing events in one place. Find out more about marketing events here.

Improved Zoom Integration for Team Use and Better Notes (Beta)

Allowing all participants in Zoom meetings to use HubSpot’s app, your teams can more efficiently and consistently find data. Prior to this release, only the host could use the HubSpot integration.

The in-Zoom Integration includes playbooks, tracking and logging contact data, searching contacts, and taking notes on the contact record that will sync with the CRM. Note-taking features of the integration allow you to engage more effectively with clients and prospects during meetings. You can @ mention users in your notes, add snippets, and sync the comment section within the call object.
