these 5 free SEO plugins and tools.

Do you want to find new ways of saving time when doing competitive analysis and research?

These five SEO plugins and tools are free.

1. Wayback Machine: Competitor research

Internet Archive Wayback Machine, a free tool for SEO, is often overlooked. You can use the Wayback Machine to see past versions of your website and to check out changes made by competitors.

Fluxguard, Visualping and other tools are among the many that can be used to analyze SEO competitiveness. The Wayback Machine, however, is available for free on any website. It can’t be easily blocked by a firewall of a competitor (yes, he can block IPs that come through your VPN).

View past versions of competitor’s pages to see what has been updated, tested, and reverted.

Web Archives has also developed extensions for all major browsers, which allow you to instantly view older versions of the pages you are currently on.

Use it

You can’t use something if you don’t have it

There is one major drawback to the Wayback Machine: you can’t see a page which hasn’t already been archived.

The Wayback Machine does not have every website recorded, but it comes pretty close.

The Archive says it has 813 Billion web pages in its collection. The estimated 4.5 billion webpages that are indexed make up about 18% of all the internet.

You can save any page in the archive to view it later. Click the “Save” option if you find a URL that is not already in the archive. There will be no historical data prior to that date.

5. OneNote allows you to reformat images into text.

OneNote can be used to organize your notes and work life. OneNote has another feature that is less well-known: the ability to copy text from an image.

The software is not 100% accurate at copying text. It can be 80% accurate for images that have been structured around text.

You will often have to manually check some letters and numbers. OneNote may mix up, for instance, a 1 with an L.

Use it

You can use this to extract the content of an image and analyze it or convert it into content for your website.

Google cannot read images the same way it can read on-page text, even when they have alt texts. Screen readers cannot read images either.
