ads is a popular web application.
Meta has begun to roll out the web version of Threads.
This is in line with the company’s goal to introduce new features that will help it overcome its retention issues.
Why do we care? Expanding to the web may increase Threads’ active users and solve its retention problem. Although Threads does not display ads at the moment, brands that use its paid promotional options could see a significant increase in their reach and conversions.
How it works. Threads.net is the web version of Threads and works similarly to the app. Users are required to enter the following information when visiting the website:
- The username, email or phone number
- A password
You can use the same log-in credentials to access Instagram.
The web app’s homepage is very similar to the mobile app. It has the same app bar and tabs. The Threads homepage has a dropdown that allows users to switch between dark and light themes, report problems, access the About page, or logout.
Usability. Users of the web can interact with other users in the same manner as they do on their mobile devices. Nevertheless, certain mobile-specific features are still not available on the web version. Currently, the profile editing feature is not available.
Meta is currently working on these issues, and we expect a solution to be available in the next few weeks.
What did Mark Zuckerberg say on Thread? Mark Zuckerberg said that Thread’s web version will be available “over the next couple of days”.
