Happy New Year!
We are pleased to present the first installment of a new feature on Search Engine Land for 2023: This is search marketing history.
Since 2006, Search Engine Land has been the leading publication for search and marketing news. The founders of Search Engine Land were already reporting on the industry and educating it for over a decade before that team was founded (at Search Engine Watch).
Join us daily as we rediscover the history and headlines of SEO, PPC, and digital marketing from years past.
This day, too
Happy New Year Google Doodles!
Every year since 2000, Google has given us Doodles every January 1st. It is a holiday, after all. The editorial team is taking a much-deserved break (not counting Barry who is almost always at work) and traffic is very low on New Year’s Day.
We haven’t covered Google’s logos in years. Search Engine Land used to compete with many other publishers for the chance of driving insane amounts of search traffic. We covered these Google Doodles.
