Google AdWords now offers click-to-call ads

Google sent an AdWords notification in 2010 to its advertisers. It stated that your location-specific business number would display alongside the destination URL in ads that appear on high end mobile devices. Users can click-to-call your company just like they click to visit it. Clicks to call will be charged the same as clicks to visit your site.

Google simply stated that it would allow advertisers to show phone numbers in its ads and charge them when they are initiated.

We described it as a “pay per-phone call”, but it costs the same as a click.

You can read all about it at Google to Introduce Click-to Call (Billing), in Ads on Mobile Devices

Later, Google would add click to-call numbers Jan. 28, on the Inside Adwords Blog.
