Google’s search results became more personalized with Search Plus Your World
Google’s search results changed dramatically in 2012 when a new format called “Search Plus Your World” was introduced.
Google began to combine content from the internet with content you had shared privately into one set of listings.
Search Plus Your World did not cover content on Facebook, Twitter or other social networks where content could only be shared with a limited audience. The best description of “Search Plus Your World”, was “Search Plus Google+”.
Twitter quickly raised concerns about Search Plus Your World, declaring that it was “bad news for people, publishers and news organizations”
