Microsoft will launch an AI-powered search engine that users can use to chat, ask questions and even create content.

ChatGPT will be available for search. We reported a month ago that Microsoft would add ChatGPT to search. Microsoft has confirmed it. Bing will use a ChatGPT that is specifically designed for search.
Microsoft claimed that ChatGPT 3.5 is now faster, more precise, and custom-made for search.
A new homepage. We previously reported on Microsoft Bing’s ChatGPT interface being found in the wild. But here’s Microsoft officially announcing the new Bing homepage.
Bing’s new homepage greets searchers with “Ask Me Anything” and tells them they can ask questions to get the answers.
Core search improvements. Microsoft also revealed new core search index improvement. According to the company, it applied AI to Bing’s core search ranking engine. The result was a significant improvement in relevancy.
How Bing’s search results will look. This is our first glimpse at the new Bing search results that include ChatGPT.

It can offer more “real-time”, using the Bing index.

Why do we care? Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, opened the event calling these exciting times. He’s correct. They are. We are seeing AI technology transform search. Search marketing will see major changes due to the addition of AI by Google or Microsoft Bing.
