bans chat sessions after OpenAI founder, Mr. OpenAI, says AI tools are “somewhat broken” //
Microsoft announced that Bing chat sessions will now be limited to 50 questions per day, and 5 per session.
Many poor examples of Bing AI chat sessions that featured everything from gaslighting and accidental racism were shared. Microsoft claims it did not anticipate extended chat which could “confuse the underlying chat system.”
What’s new. Chat sessions with Bing now have a limit of 50 chat “turns”, per day, and 5 chat “turns,” per session. Microsoft explained that a “turn” is a conversation exchange that contains both a user’s question and a reply from Bing.
Our data shows that most people find the answers they need within five turns. Only 1% of chat conversations contain more than 50 messages. You will be asked to create a new topic after a chat session has reached 5 turns. To avoid confusion, the context must be cleared at the end of every chat session. AI tools “somewhat broke.”OpenAI CEO Sam Altman acknowledged that AI tools were “somewhat flawed” but said it was crucial to make sure they are available to the rest of the world so that “it gets right.”
“We believe that showing the tools to the world early and while they are still somewhat broken is crucial if we want to have enough input and continue to work hard to make it work. The level of individual empowerment is amazing, but there are serious challenges.
Altman suggested regulation as Altman said that while the AI tools aren’t too scary, they could be dangerous.

Why we care. We are witnessing a technological revolution. ChatGPT’s launch was as revolutionary as the iPhone was for smartphones. Altman also mentioned. AI is still a problem and will continue to impact our daily work. We will continue to monitor and document the evolution of search engines and other tool providers.
