Microsoft Advertising announced several changes to its April newsletter. These include the expansion of professional services ads and the broadening of the match modifier change.
Advertisement for professional services. Microsoft Advertising’s professional services ads are now worldwide. Microsoft Advertising’s professional services ads was first released as a beta around a year ago. It stated that “To champion these professionals and better link them with consumers with engaging advertising experiences, Microsoft Advertising has developed a new solution called Professional Service Ads to increase these connections more effectively than ever before.”
This is how it looks:
Broad match modifier changes. In 2021 , the broad match modifier was removed. Microsoft stated that it will “roll out gradually over several weeks, all broad modifier keywords for search advertisements now serve as broad keywords instead of phrase matches.”
Microsoft stated that “no action is necessary from you on this” as advertisers will benefit from the change. Bidding strategies and third-party bidding won’t be affected.

Bulk operations within Asset Library. Microsoft Advertising now allows you to organize your assets using bulk operations. This allows you to bulk delete files and assets and to move multiple items to your target folder.
Target bid price. Microsoft also announced that Target CPA and Target return on advertising spend (ROAS), as well as Target Impression Share bid strategies, you can now see and edit the current Target bid value in the campaign grid within Microsoft Advertising online. This is applicable to both portfolio bidding and standalone bid strategies. You can also add this column using the “modify columns” command in Microsoft Advertising Online.
