le Search will become “visual, snackable and personal”

Google I/O takes place on Wednesday. While I/O usually does not bring much news about core search, we are expecting that to change this year as Google will be demonstrating and hopefully, launching new AI powered features within Google Search. The documents show that Google plans to make their search engine “visual, snackable and personal” with a special focus on young people around the world.

Moving away from the ten blue hyperlinks. Google will reportedly move away from the traditional “ten blue links” listings of websites that appear in its search results. Instead, it will offer a “visual, snackable and personal interface and layout designed to appeal to younger searchers.”

Search can be used to converse. Google will allow users to converse with their search engine through its search results. Will it be a Google Bard embed? Will it be called Magi? We don’t know yet, but it is expected to be announced on Wednesday. Sundar Pichai from Google will give the keynote.

Project Magi. Google, as we previously reported, is developing a brand new search engine. A team of over 160 Googlers has been working full-time to add new features to Google Search. According to reports, this project has been code-named Magi and could be released to a small group of users as soon as next month. Magi, according to the report would enable searchers to make purchases, like buying shoes or booking a flight. The searchers would be able to make financial transactions while still using the lucrative Google search ads. The changes allow users to write code and answer questions related to “software coding” based on the user’s requests.

This report was first reported by the New York Times . stated that “the new Google search engine will offer users a much more personalized experience, trying to anticipate users needs.” There is no release date for this new Google search engine, which is still in early development. This new effort “demonstrates Google’s ambitions in reimagining the search experience.”

The Wall Street Journal claims that we will see some of these features at Google I/O.

What could be announced? The Wall Street Journal reported that Google plans to put more emphasis on answering queries which traditional web results cannot easily answer. In response to their query, searchers may be asked to answer follow-up queries or swipe through visuals like TikTok videos. videos have been tested by Google since 2020, and were launched soon after.

Google could also display online forum posts based on structured data to help people consume content in bite-sized chunks.

According to documents outlining Google’s search strategies, the shift will force Google to “refine our definition of trusted content,” especially when there’s no one right answer. According to documents from the WSJ, Google will provide “attribution and literacy tools” to help users feel confident in using the content.

Glenn Gabe pointed out in a tweet that these changes are aimed at “younger users”.

Why we care. Google Search changes can have a significant impact on the traffic that site owners, content creators and publishers receive to their sites. Google is responsible for a large amount of web traffic. Google’s traffic could change if it stops using the traditional 10 blue links.

Google I/O will be here in a few short days, so stay tuned to hear directly from Google’s bot what they have planned. Stay tuned for more information in the next few days.
