osoft will only display ads from verified advertisers beginning August 1
Microsoft Advertising announced that it will only display ads from verified advertisers starting August 1.
Why do we care? You’ll have to complete the Microsoft Ads Verification requirements before August 1 in order to avoid interruptions to your ad deliveries.
Timeline. In June 2022, Microsoft Ads Advertiser identity verification program was announced. Important dates for the future:
- July 1, Microsoft must verify new advertisers before serving any ads.
- July 15,Contact Microsoft Support if you have not received an email about account verification and your account hasn’t been verified.
- Aug. Microsoft Advertising only serves ads from verified advertisers.
The ads that will be displayed to users
- Name and location of the advertiser.
- The person or business that is paying for the advertisement.
- Information on why a person is seeing an advertisement (e.g. targeting parameters).
This is what it looks like.
New Ad Library. Microsoft Advertising has also announced that it will launch a new Ad Library.
- All users will now be able view any ads on Bing that have impressions within the European Union. The Ad Library allows users to search for ads by the name of the advertiser or the words used in the creative. In the Ad Library, you will see all of the advertiser’s information.
