Youube has just announced the 2023 class #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund creators
YouTube launched a new fund earlier this year to help black creators find support. It will provide seed funding for their channel development, as well as the opportunity to take part in customized training, workshops, and networking programs. YouTube announced the 30 first creators to be included in the class of 2023 this week.
Meet the class. Jasmine Taylor, Baddies & Budgets is one of the class’s creators. Taylor, who was raised in poverty and wasn’t taught financial literacy, shares the lows and highs of being financially free.
Taylor helps other women learn how to manage their finances using tools and coaching. Taylor spoke out about being part of the new generation or creators.
“This fund will open up my business to many possibilities. YouTube is a great platform for black creators who want to expand their platforms. Exposure is everything. This will allow me to monetize my brand and business. I am so excited to start. Education and outreach are a major part of my brand. More channel exposure means I can reach more women, and in turn help them to take control over their finances.
The new class also includes:
- Studio Jibby. Jibby is a lifestyle content creator and a trainer who uses plants to provide health tips.
- Smokin’ & Grillin With AB (Aaron Brown). Aaron Brown started YouTube to share his humble cooking videos. His videos were positive and inspiring, which helped him to gain a large following.
- BeautifulBrwnBabyDol (Dr. Nina Ellis Hervey). Dr. Nina’s YouTube channel focuses on real-world solutions to living a balanced lifestyle. She shares stories, tutorials, and transparent talks about beauty, fitness, psychological wellness, and other topics.
- iBelongOutdoors (Emmanuel Williams). Williams’ passion for being outdoors and the water inspired him to start a YouTube channel that shares inspiring, energetic content about the water.
